TRIP: Autumn Foliage Walk at Powder Major Forest
Foliage, foliage, foliage! Fall in New England is a special time, and it is shown no better than in one of our most diverse forests: Powder Major of Madbury. Learn the story behind the color, including the storage of energy, the activities of local wildlife, and the movement of Oyster River tributaries.
Just over 2 miles. No steep incline or decline, paths are well maintained. May be wet/muddy or narrow in some sections as well as some tripping hazards, such as stones and roots.
Trekking poles are recommended for support. Bag lunch will be provided. No picnic tables or public restrooms.
