Parent & Child Aquatics (Ages 6 months – 3 years)
This fun, interactive class introduces children ages 6 months to 3 years to the water with the support of a parent or guardian. Through songs, games, and guided activities, children will:
- Build comfort and confidence in the water.
- Establish an expectation for adult supervision in and around water.
- Practice safe ways to enter and exit the pool.
- Explore submerging through rhythmic bobbing and blowing bubbles.
- Learn to glide on their front and back with assistance.
All instructors are certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors
Diaper Policy
- All children under 3.5 years old, and any child over 3.5 who is not toilet trained, must wear a disposable swim diaper.
- Swim diapers are available for purchase at the pool for $2.00.
Water Temperature
- The pool is maintained at a recreational temperature of 80–82 degrees.
- Because infants and toddlers cannot regulate body temperature as well as adults, their temperature can change quickly in water. The pool recommends that young children wear a neoprene or warming swimsuit.
Registration
- Registration is available in person or online on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the posted registration date.
- Payment is due in full at the time of registration.
- Registration closes at the end of the first week of lessons.
- All classes require a minimum enrollment to run. Cancellations due to low enrollment will be announced one week prior to the session start date
