Great Bay Masters (GBM) – Adult Masters Swim Team
Whether you’re training for competition, rebuilding technique, or simply love a good workout in the water, Great Bay Masters offers a supportive, motivating environment for swimmers of all skill levels. GBM is proudly affiliated with U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS) and practices at the Portsmouth Indoor Pool.
What GBM Offers

Prerequisites
To join Great Bay Masters, swimmers should be able to:
- Swim repeat 100s freestyle at a steady pace
- Comfortably swim 25/50 of at least two other strokes
- Show willingness to learn additional strokes
- Follow the lane etiquette and the written workout at an appropriate pace
Registration & Attendance Notes
This program is popular and will sell out! To ensure fairness and space, please choose the option that best matches your schedule. We kindly ask swimmers not to register for full-session passes if they expect to attend only a handful of practices. This helps keep spots open for those committed to the full winter session—and may save you money!
Please Note:
- Monday passes cannot be used for Wednesday practices, and vice-versa.
- No “at-desk” registrations are available before practice. All participants must pre-register.
- If you’re unsure about your schedule, consider other great programs at the Indoor Pool or GBM opportunities in Dover or Exeter.
