Great Bay Masters – Daily Pass

The Daily Pass is a flexible option designed for adult swimmers who want to join a single coached Masters workout—without committing to a full session. It’s perfect if you're visiting, trying it out, or just need a one-time swim!
Because lane space is limited, daily passes must be reserved in advance—no walk-ins available.

How It Works

• Daily passes are released in 3 -week blocks
• Registration opens the Friday before each 3 -week period
• Spots are limited and may not be available for every lane or practice

Summer 2026 Note

• Please add yourself to the wait list. In the summer, sometime spots become available. If  a spot becomes available you will be contacted the day of the practice in the afternoon.

Important Registration Details

• No walk-in or front desk registration
• Must register by 4:00 PM on the day of practice
• You must register each time you want to attend

Refund Policy (Portsmouth Recreation)

• Refund requests must be submitted in writing (email is OK)
• Refunds are typically available up to two weeks before a program begins
• Within two weeks, refunds are only issued for medical reasons or if the spot can be filled
• If a program is canceled by Portsmouth Recreation, a full refund will be issued

Since Daily Passes are single-day registrations with limited space, we strongly encourage double-checking your schedule before registering.

Lane Assignments (Meters)

Choose your lane carefully—no changes once practice begins:

• Lanes 1  (Fastest): 50m @ :40
  High-level swimmers with strong endurance (collegiate or equivalent)
• Lanes 2 & 3 & 4 (Advanced): 50m @ :50–1:00
  Competitive intervals, multi-stroke sets
• Lanes 5 & 6 (Intermediate/Developing): 50m @  1:00–1:15
  Focus on fitness, technique, and stroke development

Can’t Find a Spot?

We’ve got great alternatives to keep you in the water:

• Lap Swim
• Tri-Group (Tuesdays, 5:30 PM) – $10 drop-in
• Adult Swim Lessons (varied schedule)
• Additional Great Bay Masters workouts in Dover or Exeter
