Aquatic Conditioning (Ages 11–18)
Not sure if your child is ready to join a swim team? Aquatic Conditioning is the perfect bridge between swim lessons and competitive swimming. Participants continue developing their skills and fitness through group workouts led by an on-deck coach. This program gives swimmers a glimpse of the “swim team” environment while providing a fun and engaging way to stay active and fit.
Prerequisites
Participants must:
- Swim 25 meters of front crawl with rotary breathing.
- Have knowledge of breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly.
- Be comfortable swimming in deep water.
- Be able to swim continuously for 20 minutes.
Program Details
- Workouts are coach-led from the pool deck (instructors will not be in the water).
- Swimmers will receive stroke correction on competitive strokes, turns, and starts.
- Focus is on endurance, technique, and fitness, not competition.
- Participants should bring their own goggles
